I went to high school in NYC in the 90s and I've been collecting relics from the era for awhile now. Back in high school our buddy Stave was nice with the camera and had it on him during many of our bombing exploits and shenanigans. We spent several hours a day in the Freedom Tunnels and Stave of course would flick up some classics from the tracks as well. 30 years later and Stave has dug up the negatives and got em developed. GEMS. Mid 90s NYC, hip hop punk hardcore kids fucking about, classic graff and more. I've compiled some of my fav shots with some of our blackbooks of the era and I'm very hype that we were able to document our little slice of history.

Our crew was called SMG - Shattered Minds Gathered. Stave, taeOne, Thane, Dams, Metro, Ebes and Geshu. As Geshu was the only one of us to really make a name for themselves in graffiti, I included a short interview with him and some of his flicks and blackbooks of the era.
